Samsung introduces Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 in India

Samsung has finally launched three new metal-clad handsets in its Galaxy A series – Galaxy A3, A5 and A7. The smartphones will be available in China by mid-December. It is later expected to arrive in other markets. However, there is no word on the pricing yet.

The Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 smartphones are believed to be the mid-range alternative to the Galaxy S series.

The Galaxy A7 sports a 5.5-inch full HD 1920 x 1080p and weighs 172 grams. The internals include a 1.6GHz octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM and support for LTE category 6 network speeds. A 3,300mAh Fast Charging battery completes the package. The next in line is 155 gram Galaxy A5 sports a 5.2-inch full-HD Super Amoled display, 2GB of RAM, and a 2900mAh battery that promises fast charging. It measures 144.8x71.0x7.3mm and weighs 155 grams. The A5 as well as A7 feature Samsung Pay’s Magnetic Secure Transmission, NFC payment systems and fingerprint scanner. The smallest and the lightest Galaxy A3 sports a 4.7-inch display, LTE cat 4 network access, 1.5GB of RAM, and a 1.5GHz quad-core processor. All three run Android 5.1 Lollipop. They will come with 16GB onboard storage that is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card slot. “At Samsung, we are committed to continued innovation, inspired by the feedback and needs of our wide range of consumers,” said JK Shin, CEO and Head of Samsung’s IT & Mobile Business. He added,“With the introduction of the Galaxy A (2016), we took the consumer feedback on our original Galaxy A models and made thoughtful and impactful improvements offering consumers a seamless convergence of style and performance for their everyday lifestyles.”
