Samsung Gear S listed on Amazon for Rs 27,900

Samsung’s latest smartwatch based on the Tizen OS, which comes with its own SIM card slot - the Gear S - has been listed on  Amazon for Rs 27,900. It comes at around 5 per cent discount on the MRP of Rs 29,500. While Samsung Gear S is already available for purchase at Samsung retail stores and **Samsung India estore** , it looks like Amazon is the only other authorised online retailer as the Gear S page on Samsung website redirects to the Amazon. Just like the Samsung India estore, the Amazon page promises delivery within a week. You can also opt for One-day delivery option on the Gear S. The Gear S has a 2 inch curved super AMOLED display with a resolution of 480 x 360 pixels is also powered with 1GHz dual-core processor. It is paired with 512MB of RAM. There is a dedicated SIM card slot at the back of the Gear S. In terms of memory, the Gear S will have built-in 4GB memory. With a 300mAh battery, the smartwatch is said to deliver 2 days of usage. This IP67 certified wearable is dust and water resistant, and runs Samsung’s own Tizen instead of Android Wear. One will find support for 3G as well as Wi-Fi connectivity. This Bluetooth-enabled wearable also comes with improved multi-sensors and built-in GPS. The wearable also offers turn-by-turn pedestrian navigation offered by the mapping service HERE, advanced reading technology from Spritz and comes with social media integration. It will also support the Gear apps along with Samsung features like S Voice, Find My Device and Power Saving Mode.
