Within a month of launching the Galaxy Tab S series in the US, the nifty tablets are now launched in India. The new Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and Galaxy Tab S 8.4 are expected to give the Apple iPads a run for their money, at least as far as specs and user experience are concerned, but the pricing is higher than Apple’s offering. For comparison, the iPad Air (Wi-Fi only) is priced at Rs 35,900, while the Retina iPad mini has a price of Rs 28,900.   This is the first time we are seeing Samsung make such a large Super AMOLED display, so we can expect deep black and vivid colours. The Tab S is also the be Samsung’s first tablet device to feature a fingerprint sensor. Here’s a  quick look at the key features . You can also check out our  **hands-on with Tab S 8.4**  and  **first look of the Tab S** .   Samsung will be throwing in a bunch of exclusive features as well as follows:   - Samsung’s magazine service, “Papergarden” debuts on the Galaxy Tab S, which is an optimized viewing environment for digital interactive magazines.   - Galaxy Gifts: Samsung has teamed up with more than 30 of the world’s leading mobile content and service providers to offer access to over 15,000 Marvel Comics through 3 months of unlimited free membership to Marvel’s “Marvel Unlimited” app   - Samsung has also partnered with Google Play for access to a range of movie and entertainment content, including the Warner Bros. Academy Award winning movie “Gravity” as well a variety of books and magazines from top publishers through the “My Library" widget.   The tablet will have an Octa-core Exynos 5 (5420) SoC with ARM’s big.LITTLE technology i.e a quad-core1.9GHz Cortex-A15 CPU and four 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 cores.   The 6-core ARM Mali-T628 GPU with a clock speed of 533MHz, along with a very healthy 3GB of 32-bit dual-channel 933 MHz LPDDR3e RAM will ensure that Apple will need to up its game as well.   The Tab S will run a customised Android UI and also will feature the Power Saving mode.   Expect yourself to do a lot of video conferencing and this might be the tablet for you. Samsung is packing in an 8-megapixel (3264×2448) camera sensor with 1080p Full HD video recording. The 2.1-Megapixel front camera should also be able to shoot full HD video.
