Earlier today, Samsung finally
set a date
for the launch of its much-anticipated flagship smartphones, the
Galaxy S9
and S9 Plus. Soon after the 25 February date was unveiled, the Galaxy S9 is now believed to have been spotted in not just one, but two hands-on videos leaked on the internet. According
to a report
by SlashGear, the video leaked on Chinese social media site Weibo
does not show much of the interface but does reveal the exterior, which looks a lot like what we had seen with the Galaxy S8. The second video, on the other hand, also comes from the same source, but is only 10 seconds long. Here, the user taps on the keyboard with his fingers, giving us an idea of how responsive the new display will be on the Galaxy S9. We do not see much of the exterior in this video, but it does look quite identical to the exterior revealed in the first video.
The report states that the Galaxy S9 will be 148.9 mm in length, 68.1 mm wide and 8 mm thick. These measurements are quite close to those on the Galaxy S8, which had a length of 147.6 mm, a width of 68.7 mm and a thickness of 8.4 mm.
Based on what we know from older reports, Samsung’s new flagship is expected to arrive with an improved set of cameras, hybrid face-detection and the latest Exynos 9810/Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC.
