Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus launched in India: Cashback and launch offers explained

Sales for both the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus begin on 16 March and will be available exclusively on Samsung’s online store and Flipkart.

Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus launched in India: Cashback and launch offers explained

The **Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus** have just **been launched in India** at a price of Rs 57,900 and Rs 64,900 for the 64 GB variants and Rs 65,900 and Rs 72,900 respectively for the 256 GB variants. Paytm Mall users can get a cashback of Rs 6,000 if the purchase is done by scanning the Paytm Mall QR code at select partner retail stores. Customers can alternatively land a cashback of Rs 6,000 if the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus are purchased using the ‘No Cost EMI’ option available on HDFC Bank debit as well as credit cards. The cashback is also available for users paying the entire amount using HDFC Credit Cards or by paying through HDFC CD Loan.

Under the company’s exchange program named the Samsung Upgrade program, loyal Samsung Galaxy users will be eligible to land an additional Rs 6,000 bonus over the regular exchange price when they upgrade to Galaxy S9/S9 Plus. Samsung has also gone ahead and partnered with a number of operators in the country to bring an assortment of tariff and entertainment packages along with the phone. Airtel postpaid users opting to buy the Galaxy S9/S9 Plus can avail a ‘Double Data’ offer on Airtel’s Infinity Postpaid plans. With the Infinity 499 plan, users get 80 GB of data, unlimited voice calling and a year’s subscription to Amazon Prime worth Rs 999 all bundled in at no additional cost. As for the Infinity 799 plan, users get 120 GB of data, unlimited calling, a year’s worth Amazon Prime membership as well as one free child connection.

Both plans also offer free subscription to Airtel TV and Wynk Music. A special pack has also been announced for prepaid users which will cost Rs 199 with 1.4 GB data daily and unlimited calling for 28 days. Reliance Jio users also get an exclusive offer of 1 TB of 4G LTE data with unlimited voice and SMS for one year worth Rs 15,000 at a subsidised rate of Rs 4,999. Additionally, users enrolled under this offer are also entitled to a complimentary Jio Prime Membership. Vodafone customers have not been forgotten either. Vodafone Red users get a free subscription to Netflix for a year on plans starting at Rs 999, though this offer is valid only until 30 April 2018. Prepaid users who do a recharge of Rs 199 also get unlimited voice calling and 1.4 GB per day along with an additional 10 GB of free data every month for their next 10 recharges. Sales for both phones begin on 16 March and will be available in select retail stores and online exclusively on Samsung’s official online store and Flipkart.
