Now that Samsung is done unveiling its flagship smartphone offerings for the rest of the year, it is time for the rumour mill to cook up something for the upcoming smartphones for the following year. Too early? Well, leakers don’t seem to think the same way, as details about the coming year’s Samsung Galaxy S8 have already begun to emerge online and they are pretty much in line with what we expected them to be. The information comes from Chinese Weibo user who put out a post giving out a few interesting details about the next flagship Galaxy smartphone from Samsung. The credibility of the source cannot be confirmed, so do take this information with a spoonful of salt. According to the user, the Samsung Galaxy S8 will feature a dual camera set up similar to the stuff we have recently seen on the Hauwei P9 , the LG G5 and the tonnes of leaked images of the iPhone 7 Plus. What the leaker did not confirm, is how the dual camera unit will be placed or about its functionality. However, details about the sensor are out. Samsung will reportedly use its own sensors and those coming from Sony as well. As per the leak, one of the units will pack in a 12MP module, while the second a 13MP module. The front facing unit, according to the leaker, will be an upgrade from the past, with Samsung going in for an 8MP sensor. There will also be another camera on the front above the display, which would be the iris scanning module. This is just the beginning, so fans expect plenty more leaks to show up in the coming months.
