Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 edge update brings improved camera and security fixes

Samsung’s Galaxy S7 and S7 edge models seem to be doing pretty well. The Galaxy S7 edge fared well in our review and won praises for its camera. Still then there were a couple of flaws and Samsung has pushed out a new update for both S7 and the S7 edge smartphones to rectify the same. In our review, for the camera section, we had noted , “We noticed a slight glitch with two or three videos from among the many we shot, especially at the start when the video showed some skewing” The new update according to SamMobile has started rolling out from the UK and brings an improved camera along with the latest security patches from Google. This is more important for the UK S7 owners as they missed out on the May patch last month. As for the camera improvements, Samsung fixes an issue where video playback flickers after recording. Another issue that is now fixed is to do with previews of specific routes. There are other bug fixes as well. A common issue with cover recognition has been finally resolved. Another S View issue where the camera could not be opened from the lockscreen has also been sorted. Lastly, another Quick View related fix now allows video to be displayed in Quick View after the recording has been stopped. The update is about 329MB in Europe, other regions may just see a 70MB update.
