Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is even more difficult to repair than Apple iPhone 6 Plus

If you are a DIYer, then the all new Samsung **Galaxy S6 Edge** may not be something you could easily carry to your lab. iFixit, known to rip apart devices to reveal what they hold within, reveals that the Galaxy S6 Edge is extremely difficult to repair with a repairability score of just 3 out of 10, which is even lower than 5/10 scored by **Galaxy S5** . Interestingly, its arch rival Apple’s iPhone 6 Plus is comparatively well placed with a score of 7 out of 10. In fact, Nexus 6 has also emerged with a good repairability score of 7 out of 10, which is at par with the iPhone 6. Though the Galaxy S6 Edge has received accolades for its ‘modular’ components that make them easy to be replaced, Samsung has made it very difficult to get into the device. The iFixit report points out that the battery is ’tightly adhered’ and within the device’s insides, making it very difficult to reach the battery. Moreover, it also reports fear of completely destroying the display while replacing a cracked glass. Talking about the components, Samsung is known to build all kinds of tech components, and so its obvious the Galaxy S6 Edge doesn’t have to rely on components build by outsiders. The iFixit report also reveals that the Galaxy S6 Edge comes with the company-built octa-core processor, storage, and near-field communication chip.
