Earlier this month, **Samsung’s VP confirmed** that the Galaxy S5 will hit store shelves by April 2014. A new report now reveals that Samsung’s latest flagship will be launched just a day before the Mobile World Congress (MWC) next month, before it finally releases in April. A Russian blogger named Eldar Murtazin has revealed through a tweet that Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S5 in Barcelona at 6pm on February 23. He further disclosed that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will carry a similar pricing as the Galaxy S4 and will come with a redesigned TouchWiz UI. It is quite possible that Samsung may launch the S5 for a similar price as analysts believe that the S4 didn’t have any ‘wow’ factor and the device hasn’t earned Samsung great sales figures either. The S5 is touted to be quick replacement for the **not-so-popular S4** . While Samsung has been tight lipped about the specifications, a lot has been already said and written about the device. Some rumoured specs of the S5 include 16MP camera, Exynos 6 or Snapdragon 805 processor, eye-popping 2560×1440 display and more. Samsung’s VP had further said that the S5 “could” come with an eye scanner, but the latest reports claim that after several unsuccessful attempts Samsung has finally **ditched the eye scanner** for a finger-print scanner. Though the eye-scanner is given a miss, the Galaxy S5 is likely to get improved Air Gestures compared to the S4, allowing users to perform several functions without the need to touch its display. Lately, there have been reports about a Google Now-inspired TouchWiz UI for the S5. Check out our complete **rumour round-up** of the Galaxy S5.
