After making its presence felt on Samsung’s official site last week, the Galaxy S3 Neo is now listed on the company’s online store for a retail price of Rs 26,200. However, it states ‘not in stock’ and users will have to key in their pincode to check the device shipment details for their region. The S3 Neo is a slightly watered-down version of the Galaxy S3 that was launched in 2012, but it does come with some improvements.

Dual-SIM Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo launched for Rs 26,200

After making its presence felt on Samsung’s official site  last week, the Galaxy S3 Neo is now listed on the company’s online store for a retail price of Rs 26,200.  However, it states ‘not in stock’ and users will have to key in their pincode to check the device shipment details for their region. The S3 Neo is a slightly watered-down version of the Galaxy S3 that was launched in 2012, but it does come with some improvements. Considering the 16GB Galaxy S3  selling online for around Rs 22,000, we expected the S3 Neo’ to be priced around Rs 18,000-19,000.   The S3 Neo sports a similar 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display with 720p resolution. It also gets an 8-megapixel rear snapper and 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera. On the storage front, it gets  16GB onboard storage and support for expandable memory up to 64GB.   It is also powered by a quad-core processor clocked slightly lower at 1.2GHz, compared to the original S3. However, it gets 1.5 GB of RAM, which is 50 percent more than the S3. It also gets dual-SIM functionality and an infrared port, which the original S3 lacks. The connectivity options include W-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G and GPS/A-GPS.   The chipset isn’t mentioned yet. Samsung only mentions Android Jelly Bean, but hasn’t specified the version of the Android mobile operating system the device will run. Samsung plans to dip the device in vivid colours including blue, pink, red and white. The device is expected to be fuelled with a removable battery that promises up to 14 hours of talk time.
