A fresh batch of images and renders of the much anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 8, which is expected to launch on 23 August, have leaked out yet again. The latest leaks also include storage information, colour options as well as images of the latest Samsung Note.
A post by a tipster on Weibo reveals that the Galaxy Note 8 will now come in eight colour variants. The images shared by the tipster suggest that these colours include midnight black, arctic silver, orchid gray/violet, coral blue, dark blue, deep sea blue, pink and gold.
In another report, wallpapers supposed to be bundled with the Note 8 have been revealed by Vietnamese website samsungvgn.com. ETNews has reported that Samsung will bundle a free, transparent case worth KRW 20,000 to KRW 30,000 (approximately Rs 1,100 - 1,600) along with the phone, though this will be restricted to only a few regions.
SlashLeaks, on the other hand, has shared leaked live images of the phone as well as images of the lineup's characteristic S Pen. The images fall in line with rumours suggesting an 'infinity edge' display similar to the Galaxy S8 and the dual cameras expected on the back of the phone.
There is also a tweet by tipster Roland Quandt suggesting that the South Korean release of the Galaxy Note 8 will see a 256 GB variant of the phone, though its availability in other markets will be known only after the release.
In terms of specifications, the display is said be a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED unit, which makes it a tad bit larger than the Galaxy S8+. The device is said to feature more pronounced corners in comparison to the rounded corners of the Samsung Galaxy S8. So despite the same 18.5:9 aspect ratio, the display would have to stretch a bit more into the corners.
Samsung is expected use the same chipsets as it does on the S8, selling the same Exynos 8895 chipset globally, while the US model will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. What is expected to change here though is the RAM. The Note 8 would be Samsung's third device after the Galaxy C9 Pro and the Galaxy S8+ (128 GB variant) to feature 6 GB of RAM as standard. As of now there are no hints of a high-end 8 GB RAM model.
Coming to the camera, Samsung is said to have finally boarded the dual-camera bandwagon and will allegedly announce its first dual camera offering with the Note 8. It's said to use two 12 MP sensors at the rear. Both cameras feature Samsung's dual-pixel autofocus technology. However, only one of these 12 MP sensors will feature an f/1.7 aperture lens, while the second lens offers f/2.4 aperture with 2x optical zoom. For once, both lenses should feature optical image stabilisation (OIS). As for the selfie camera, it's supposed to use an 8 MP sensor with a brighter, f/1.7 autofocus lens.
Lastly, the rumours hint at a fast-charging 3,300 mAh battery that can be charged both wirelessly and via a USB Type-C port.
