Samsung Galaxy Note 8 sales in South Korea reach one million units in just over a month

The sales of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 smartphone in South Korea have reached 1 million units in a little over a month’s time after the device hit local shelves, industry data showed on 2 November. The figure eclipsed numbers for the ill-fated Galaxy Note 7, which managed to draw in 380,000 preorders. Samsung said it also plans to add the gold-colour edition (in South Korea) to the Galaxy Note 8 products starting on 3 November, which is currently available in black, blue and grey in the country. Galaxy Note 8 is priced at 1.09 million won ($979). The device costs nearly Rs 68,000 in India.
