Samsung Galaxy Note 7 to be priced at Rs 63,000 in India? To ship with Samsung Cloud service

PriceRaja reveals that the device may hit Indian store shelves on 2 August for Rs 63,000.


A lot is already being said and written about Samsung's upcoming version of the Note series. The Galaxy Note 7 slated to launch on 2 August at an event to be held in New York, has a string a rumours and leaks revealing its specs. Now, PriceRaja reveals that the device will also be launched in India on 2 August for Rs 63,000 (64GB model). It should be noted that the Note 5 with dual SIM slots was launched earlier this year at Rs 51,400 (32GB variant), and the 64GB iPhone 6s Plus is available around Rs 69,999.

The device is said to be quite similar to its predecessor in terms of design, with a set of specs including 5.7-inch Quad HD display, Corning Gorilla Glass 5, octa-core Exynos SoC or quad-core Snapdragon 820/821, coupled with 4 or 6GB RAM. The Note 7 is expected to run Android 7 Nougat.

A recent leaked video (via techtastic) showed a device that looked just like the Note 5. It showed the device sporting a curved display on both sides, just like the edge model. The S-Pen is likely to be improved in a way that it can write on the curved display. Another report says that the S-Pen will be water resistant and will work when the phone is under water or phone is wet.

Some of the specs revealed by the video include same 5.7-inch QHD display, 64GB onboard storage, waterproofing ability, physical home button, 12MP rear snapper, 5MP front-facing camera and microSD card slot support. The video also reveals AnTuTu and Geekbench scores. It scores 1,35,385 on AnTuTu and 2,114 (single-core) and 6,213 (multi-core) on Geekbench.

Meanwhile, the first official TV ad for the Note 7 is out in Korea. It does confirm some features like the fingerprint scanner and water resistance.

Samsung is expected to bundle 5GB of free cloud storage on its to-be announced service called Samsung Cloud. A 9to5Google report claims that Samsung will announce its Samsung Cloud service and Note 7  together. French website nowhereelse.fr has even tipped off about a probably news Gear VR headset launch as well.
