Samsung’s much awaited September 4 event is finally here. And the company has not disappointed the masses, finally unveiling the much awaited Galaxy Note 3. The phablet has, in the last few months, spawned a host of rumours, speculations and leaks. Now, the company has finally laid bare all the official details of the phablet.
The design of the phablet has been tweaked a bit, with the smartphone coming with a leather back panel. The Galaxy Note 3 also seems to sport stiched accents. While it is definitely bigger than its predecessors, the company has managed to keep the size the same, despite a larger screen.
The Galaxy Note 3 comes with a 5.7-inch full HD Super AMOLED display with a pixel resolution of 1920 x 1080, giving it a pixel density of 386ppi. Samsung has come up with two variants of the phone, each coming with a different processor under the hood. The first variant comes with an improved version of the company’s Exynos 5 Octa chip clocked at 1.9GHz, which packs an ARM Cortex-A15 chip with a more power-friendly Cortex-A7. The second version comes with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 800 SoC, with four cores clocked at 2.3GHz. The latter is aimed at LTE markets.
Samsung has finally announced the Galaxy Note 3
The company has focused on the S Pen with a variety of new features being worked in, like Air Command, Action Memo, Scrapbook, Screen Write and S Finder among others. Keeping the security concerns of its users in mind, the company has added Samsung's Knox security suite to the package.
