Ever since Apple brought its new iPhones dipped in several colours, “colourful devices” are becoming sort of a trend in the mobile world. Apple’s arch rival, Samsung, plans to introduce new colours for the Galaxy Note 3 . According to SamMobile , red and white gold variants of the Note 3 will be coming soon.

However, users won’t be able to lay their hands on these new colour options during the holiday season as reportedly the company doesn’t plan to bring them until January 2014. The report says that the red variant is expected in the first week of January while the white gold unit will follow around two weeks later.

The Note 3 is currently available in black and white options, and a pink variant has also been released in South Korea. The new red and white gold variants will reportedly not be limited to a particular region, and the company plans to release them worldwide. However, some carriers/retailers may get to sell these options exclusively, says the report.

Several manufacturers are now offering options beyond the usual black and white. Another popular handset of the year– HTC One –is also available in several colour options including red, blue and the most recently added gold variant .
