Despite it being just a couple of days away from an official unveiling, the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch has been leaked. The leak comes courtesy of VentureBeat , and is actually a prototype that was sent to developers and partners.
Going by the leak, it looks like the Galaxy Gear will have a 3-inch display and will have a rectangular shape owing to its bezels. As revealed in earlier leaks, the smartwatch will connect with Samsung’s Galaxy smartphones via Bluetooth. It is currently unconfirmed whether it will be able to connect with other Android smartphones as well.

It has a number of features that will primarily attract fitness junkies. For example, it can measure health data like steps, heart rate and calorie intake. It will be able to help users devise workouts better suited for them, since it can track other data such as food intake by using the 4-megapixel camera attached to its wristband.
More general features include Samsung’s S Voice for voice commands, social media and health tracking apps pre-installed, integration with Galaxy devices, swipe function to access apps, call logs, access to the Internet, social media integration and more than 10 hours of battery life.
We had earlier seen some leaked specifications and pictures of the companion smartphone app that will be used to manage the Galaxy Gear. Under the hood, it will be powered by a dual-core Exynos 4212 processor clocked at 1.5GHz and a Mali-400 MP4 GPU. The display resolution is expected to be 320 x 320 pixels. It will have 1GB of RAM and will be available in two variants—6GB and 8GB.
Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns.
