These sensors will detect the amount of particles as well as the change of resistance. It would be providing data about the air quality. The sensor is supposed to come in smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches. It is not known as yet how the technology will work since it is still in the patent stage. It is not known whether this will be sent for mass production. Also, it will not take the screen space, rather it would be built into the display. The waste from discarded electronic gadgets and electrical appliances has reached severe levels in East Asia, posing a growing threat to health and the environment. Safe disposal of these discarded gadgets is yet to see the light of the day.  **Among all nations** , China’s electronic waste was touted to be the highest according to a study by the United Nations University. Meanwhile, **when it comes to sensors** , there has been an increasing demand for fingerprint sensors to smartphones. By keeping up with the trend and the demand the shipment for fingerprint sensor-enabled smartphones is expected to cross over a billion units. Within this spectrum, the Korean smartphone giant is touted as the forerunner where it has contributed up to 12 percent of the market share.
