Samsung has said that the support for Indian languages will not be limited to just the user interface. Users will be able to see content in select applications in the language of their preference as well. The number of languages being offered will also increase in the future. According to the company, “Applications like Bharat Matrimony, Ganesh speak, Indian property, Times of India, BSE, and Mydala amongst hundreds of other applications will soon be available in vernacular language for users. Customers can experience content in their own language by using ChatOn, Facebook, Gmail, and Newshunt on select Samsung devices.”

The company has announced that the applications which support local languages are downloadable from the Samsung Apps store, which will house the updated versions of the same. While there is no official word on how the roll out of the support to existing Galaxy devices will happen, AndroidOS has concluded that the company will most likely send out a software update for the same. According to the report, a user can enable the language of their preference by going to the Settings folder and selecting the Languages and Input option.
