 "Samsung announces improved version of Exynos 5 Octa chip")
Samsung has announced on its SamsungExynos Twitter account that the company has been working on an improved version of the Exynos 5 Octa chip that can be seen in the international version of the Galaxy S4. We’re assuming that the chip will make its debut in Samsung’s much-anticipated phablet—the Galaxy Note 3.
Samsung calls the chip the ExynosEvolved processor and claims that it will be a more powerful and enhanced version of the Exynos 5 Octa. The company has been making improvements to the big.LITTLE architecture of the Exynos 5 Octa chip, presumably to give a boost in performance as well as battery life.

Back in July, Samsung’s UA Prof file for the Galaxy Note 3 showed that it will have a 1080p display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Samsung may have gone with Intel for its latest range of tablets, but for the Note, the company will definitely be using ARM processors, according to the filing, which now seems to be the Exynos Enhanced chip.
Various rumours place its display size anywhere between 5.7 inches and 6.3 inches, the screen size of the Galaxy Mega 6.3. The phone will most likely have two variants based on different processors, just like the Galaxy S4.
Samsung will most likely go with a 13 megapixel camera module for the Note 3, the same one which is used in the S4. In addition, there will be enhanced OIS capabilities, S-Orb for shooting panoramas and other new camera-related features. We don’t expect too many changes in the software side of things, with the latest version of TouchWiz already bringing many new additions. But the S-Pen capabilites will most likely be improved. With Sony already announcing a smartphone that works with almost any kind of regular pen or pencil, Samsung may also look for a similar technology in the Note 3. The Note 3 is expected to be unveiled at IFA in Berlin in September.
Samsung has said that it will reveal more information on the chip next week.
