Samsung has introduced a new line of Mini-DV Camcorders that offer superior picture, a host of new features, and a “palmprint” that is 15% smaller than last year’s models. Two new Mini-DV Compact models and a new Mini-DV Megapixel model offer Samsung’s latest usability enhancements along with high optical zoom for superior picture in a tiny camcorder. “Samsung’s 2006 compact Mini-DV Camcorders represent an innovative combination of form and function,” said Aaron Novak, marketing manager for camcorders, Samsung Electronics America. Samsung’s SC-D365 and SC-D363 Mini-DV Compact camcorders both feature a 680k pixel CCD, MPEG4 recording, Webcam capability, 800 x 600 pixel still image capture, USB 2.0 and PictBridge technology.Samsung’s SC-D963 Mini-DV Mega Pixel camcorder features a 1.1 MP CCD with 26x optical zoom. The SC-D963 features a 2.5" LCD color viewfinder, SD/MMC slot and 32 MB built-in memory. All of Samsung’s 2006 Mini-DV camcorder models feature the company’s latest functionality enhancements. The 16:9 wide mode captures the action in cinema format, and when displayed on a digital TV through the Samsung camcorder, plays your footage without image distortion. The SC-D363 is available for a MAP of $299.99; SC-D365 at a MAP of $349.99; SC-D963 for n MAP of $399.99.
