Sam Fisher Loves Nivea

Yeah, you read right, it isn’t a typo for Nvidia (although I wish it were). Sam Fisher, veteran secret agent, spy extraordinaire… loves pampering his skin with Nivea.

In what be described as one of the most weirdest deals I’ve heard of in a long time, French game developer Ubisoft has partnered with cream manufacturer (that sounded pretty dirty huh?) Nivea for Sam Fisher’s latest outing in Splinter Cell Double Agent.

“The video game industry has gained significant momentum over the past few decades. When games like Nintendo’s Duck Hunt and Mario Brothers were first introduced to the small screen they captured the attention of young boys and occupied them through their teen years. Now, these boys have grown up yet haven’t neglected their adolescent hobby. Men are now rushing home from work to spend the remainder of their evenings with a cold drink and a bag of chips to sit in front of the TV so that they can play video games. NIVEA FOR MEN products appear at different stages throughout the game and have been seamlessly integrated into the video game environments.”

Expect BloodRayne to endorse sanitary pads very soon.

Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office. Thank God he's not that enthusiastic about Angry Birds or we'd be seeing women flying all over the place. Bali... Bali, put the receptionist down now. see more
