S Health app by Samsung goes beyond Galaxy; available across Android smartphones

Samsung’s fitness tracking app, S Health, is not limited to Galaxy users any more. The company has announced the app for Android devices, irrespective of the manufacturer.

The S Heath was launched on the  Play store earlier this year, but with support only for Galaxy devices running Android 5.0. It is now made available for all Android devices running Android 4.4 KitKat and above.

“S Health is an all-in-one companion for your healthy lifestyle. With the new S Health, you can track your everyday activities, get coaching to reach your daily goals, and improve your fitness with various training programs,” the Play store page describes. S Health natively supports more than 70 languages, including English, French, and Chinese.

Earlier this year, Samsung said it would let users delete most pre-installed apps and the list includes the S Health app .

S Health comes with a plethora of fitness and health features such as tracking activity, caloric intake, UV exposure and also oxygen saturation measurement. It lets users set fitness goals and view charts showing daily progress.
