Rumour: Dual-Core Galaxy Tab 2 to be Launched at MWC with Honeycomb

Looks like the successor to the Galaxy S isn’t the only dual-core Samsung is prepping for the shortly upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. There are reports now stating that the Korean electronics giant is going to launch the successor to the Galaxy Tab, which will also be running a dual-core processor apart from Android 3.0 Honeycomb. The Galaxy Tab 2 has been making its way down the grapevine for a while now, with teaser videos and leaked schedules. Now Pocket-Lint claims their sources have confirmed that the Galaxy Tab 2 will be making an appearance along with the Samsung Galaxy S2, which has also been teased repeatedly.

The rumoured Galaxy Tab 2

The Galaxy Tab 2 will reportedly be smaller than the iPad in size, but will boast a bigger screen. Not much is known about the specs at this time, but it apparently also has an 8 Megapixel camera along with the dual-core processor and Honeycomb. Different from the smaller Galaxy Tab, the alleged 10.1-inch tablet will compete with the Motorola Xoom, LG’s G-Slate and the HP Touchpad along with the deluge of other tablets that are poised to come out this year.

The event is scheduled for tomorrow, February 13, so we’ll just have to wait until we find out then.
