Rovio Account globally available for iOS and Android devices

Rovio Account is now available for iOS and Android devices globally – a step further in the company’s gradual rollout plans for the new feature.

Released this year, Rovio Account lets players save their game progress and continue playing on another device. The feature was introduced after Rovio fans began asking the company for a way to play their game across devices without losing their progress. As it stands now, Rovio Account is available on the original Angry Birds game and The Croods, and will be rolled out to other Angry Birds and non Angry Birds titles in the future.

At the time of its launch, Rovio Account was available in The Croods game globally and in the original Angry Birds game on iOS in Finland and Poland. The company had at that time promised that they would continue bringing it to newer regions in the months to come.

Rovio currently is also gearing up to introduce the next installation of its hugely successful Angry Birds series. The new game, titled Angry Birds Go!, will be releasing later in the year and apparently brings users closer than they have ever been to Piggy Island.

The new game, according to Rovio, is like nothing seen before. An animated trailer that the company has released shows the possibility of the newest installation being some sort of a racing game. How Rovio is planning to do this is still unclear, as the company has not revealed much about the new release.
