With the much anticipated launch of Grand Theft Auto 5 drawing closer, Rockstar has now released another trailer of the game. The gameplay trailer gives greater insight into the world of GTA, along with some new features that were teased about in the earlier trailer. Check it out:
The trailer showcases Grand Theft Auto Online for the first time. This online multiplayer feature seems to focus on the fundamental concept of freedom. Players now have the freedom to explore the open world alone or with their mates. In addition, players can also band together to participate in activities like heists or shoot-outs. In addition, ambient events like robbing a liquor store can also be tackled in the same way. In keeping with the open-world idea, players can even compete in traditional game modes with the entire community.
The trailer focuses on the re-designed mechanics of the game, which may help to make the GTA online feature more immersive. The improvements to the driving and shooting aspects of the online avatar has also been worked on considerably. As seen earlier , users can now switch between weapons using a radial menu. This is opposed to the traditional “switch weapons one-by-one” system of the earlier games. Driving also seems to be much more fast and fluid, with less emphasis on realism.
There are a variety of “structured” and “unstructured” activities that have also been hinted at. This evidently means arm-wrestling and biking off cliffs while paragliding. What is structured and not is left to the player to decide.

GTA V brings a bigger world with a whole lot of choices
The game world has also seen considerable expansion with everything from massive cities to expansive natural scenery being thrown in. The company has also expanded the game world and the range of activities to earn and spend money. Thus, players who feel the inclination can engage in a relaxing game of tennis, followed by a quick race in a stolen car (cue in for the game title).
Overall, the trailer shows a great deal about how expansive the multiplayer aspect of the game may turn out to be. And Rockstar has announced that access to Grand Theft Auto Online is free with every retail copy of the game. Grand Theft Auto Onine will be launching on October 1, so fans of the franchise need to stay happy with single player mode till then.
