Apogee has finally kicked off pre-orders for its HD remake of the classic FPS Rise of the Triad. The game is now available for pre-order for $14.99 (Rs 890 approx), over a number of digital distribution platforms, including the official site , Steam , GOG.com and Green Man Gaming . There is also an added bonus for those who pre-order in the form of the Apogee Throwback Pack.

The Apogee Throwback Pack is a collection of classic Apogee games, including Rise of the Triad: Dark War, the Extreme Rise of the Triad expansion pack, Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold and Blake Stone: Planet Strike. Usually, the Apogee Throwback Pack costs $9.99 (Rs 591 approx) on digital distribution platforms, but will be completely free for those who pre-order Rise of the Triad.

Much like the original, the remake of Rise of the Triad will have five playable characters. Popular game modes from back then, such as shroom mode, dog mode and “Excalibat” will be returning along with the weapons from the previous game. The remake will have a single player campaign as well as a multiplayer mode and will be using Steam Workshop to support the modding community for the game.

  • Memory: 4GB RAM
  • Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 6950/NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560

  • Hard Drive: 5GB HD space
  • Sound: DirectX compatible
