Noida-based Ringing Bells, the makers of less than $4 “Freedom 251” smartphones, on Friday announced it will open the booking for its first 31.5-inch HD LED TV on August 15. The delivery of Rs 9,900 “Freedom” LED TV will start from August 16 and the product will be delivered in the cash-on-delivery (COD) mode, the company said in a statement.
“Like our handset, we are expecting a good response for the television and assure our customers that they will get a quality product in an affordable price in the current market scenario," it added. “Freedom 9900” TV comes with a resolution of 1366×768 and a contrast ratio of 3000:1. It has two HDMI, two USB ports and two speakers.
The booking can be done on the website http://ringingbells.co.in/.
Ringing Bells shot to international fame for selling the world's cheapest smartphone. However, while Ringing Bells claims to have shipped 65,000 units, these claims have not yet been independently verified. A rebranded phone (actually an Adcom phone with a sticker on it) was demonstrated to journalists as an example of how the phone would be, before Ringing Bells handed out phones with it's own brand on the device. This is our call to Ringing Bells customers, if you have actually received the device, let us know.
