The Ridge Racer series has always been associated with the launch of new Sony hardware which is why it was kind of weird when Ridge Racer didn’t make it to stores worldwide (except for Japan) alongside the PlayStation Vita. All that’s about to change as Namco confirm, via the PlayStation Blog a 13th March release date for Ridge Racer worldwide.

To make up for this delay, Namco will be offering day one DLC for anyone who picks up a copy of this game, for a limited period of time. This DLC pack will include:

- Five additional machines: PROMESSA, ELENIE, DIGNISTAR, FATALITA and MELTFIRE
- Three additional courses: Old Central, Sunset Heights and Lost Ruins
- Two music tracks: NEW SONGS PACK 01
- One new extended music mix: LONG MIX BGM 01

In addition to this pack, more content is expected this April. The game should hit Indian stores a week later.

Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office. Thank God he's not that enthusiastic about Angry Birds or we'd be seeing women flying all over the place. Bali... Bali, put the receptionist down now. see more
