Resistance 3 Beta Begins Next Month

Insomniac Games to kick off Resistance 3 MP beta next month.

Except for Deus Ex: Human Revolution, August is a relatively mellow month for video game releases allowing Insomniac Games to showcase their multiplayer component for Resistance 3 via a multiplayer beta. This beta will initially be available by the 4th of August to those who picked up specially marked copies of SOCOM 4, opening up a week later by the 10th to European PlayStation Plus members. Post the 23rd, it will be open to all. Insomniac haven’t mentioned when the beta would end but we’re guessing it’ll wrap up by the 1st of September.

Where’s ET when you need him?

Details regarding the beta itself are a bit scarce but according to Gamespot , it will ship with two maps and five (multiplayer) game modes. Like most shooters on the block today, you’ll be able to play around with the way your character looks, upgrade your weapons and customize your loadout all the way till level 20.

Resistance 3 releases exclusively for the PS3 by the 8th of September 2011.
