Reliance Retail's LYF smartphones go on sale with free unlimited 4G data; hints at 4G launch

This week,  Jio.com got launched  and service apps were made available. Reliance has begun selling its Jio 4G-enabled LYF smartphones. The LYF smartphones pack in a Jio 4G SIM that get customers on board the yet to be launched 4G service for the just the price of the smartphone.

Yes, as of now your ticket to Jio’s fast 4G LTE network is a LYF-branded smartphone. What this also means, is that for the first time regular customers can get access to the Jio 4G network. And there are plenty of benefits out here as well thanks to the bundled offers. Upon purchasing any of the LYF-branded smartphones, users will get access to 3 months of unlimited free 4G data and 4500 minutes of voice calls as well.

The offer does hint at the launch of Jio’s 4G services as well. It is easy to deduct that Reliance will not let its users stranded after three months when the free data period expires. This hints at the tariffs for the same being available soon, along with what could be a hint of the launch as well. Everything now seems to fall into place, first the employee referral program , then the availability of LYF-branded smartphones online, followed by the launch of Jio.com and now the mass availability of Jio-enabled LYF smartphones. Indeed, the launch of Jio’s much-talked about 4G network may happen earlier than expected.
