Reliance Retail launches its latest LYF Smartphone+, the LYF Earth 2 at Rs 21,599

Reliance Retail launched the latest smartphone from its Smartphone+ range at a Reliance Digital Store in Mumbai, Reliance LYF Earth 2. The LYF Earth 2 is priced at Rs 21,599 and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 MSM8939, an octa-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz coupled with Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB RAM. The smartphone will be available in Reliance Retail stores from 28 June and the company also plans to offer the same through online channels at a later date. The device comes with 32GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 64GB storage with the help of a microSD card. The phone comes with dual SIM slots with one slot designed to use 4G capable micro SIM, while the other holds a 2G capable Nano SIM. LYF Earth 2 will run Android Lollipop 5.1.1 out of the box and has a 5-inch 2.5D glass display with a full HD IPS LCD panel and pixel density of 445 PPI. The device is equipped with a Li-Polymer 2500 mAh battery which can be charged up to achieve 14 hours of talk time on 4G, 15 hours of audio playback and 480 hours of standby time. On the connectivity front, the device provides EDGE, GPRS, 3G, 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and micro USB 2.0. It comes with a 13 MP Laser Auto Focus equipped rear camera and a 13MP autofocus front shooter, which uses phase detection to focus faster than conventional focusing systems. The devices front panel features a Gorilla Glass 3 to make the screen scratch resistant and will come in 4 colour options: Black, White, Green, and Gold. “LYF Smartphone+ is a consumer obsessed brand and through Earth 2 we present the most advanced features in smartphones that deliver a differentiated digital experience to our consumers and puts the controls of smart devices in the hands of the consumers” added Mr. Sunil Dutt, President of Devices in Reliance Retail on the LYF Smartphone+. The television commercial for the LYF Smartphone+ was directed by Punit Malhotra and it was presented to thousands of employees, distributors, and retailers through a live cast across almost 900 cities and nearly 20000 retailers and distributors thereby making it one of the largest such showcase of a product. The event was also streamed live on LYF’s Facebook page giving millions of customers a preview of the commercial.
