UTStarcom, provider of IP-based, end-to-end networking solutions and services, and Reliance Communications have announced the launch of India’s first CDMA Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC—the Reliance Mobile Pocket PC PPC 6700.
The multi-functional service with data and video transmission capabilities of up to 144 kbps and average download speeds ranging from 60-80 kbps on Reliance Communications’ high-speed network is targeted at the enterprise segment and executives on the move.

This compact, feature-packed PDA phone running on Windows Mobile 5.O sports a slide-out text keyboard, and three separate radios: CDMA EV-DO ready, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. Other key features include a 1.3 mega pixel camera with video capture, miniSD card slot, touch screen, speakerphone, and the full suite of Windows Mobile 5.0 software. The ‘Reliance Mobile Pocket PC’ is available through Reliance Communication’s business sales channels, with servicing capabilities across eight cities in India.
