Reliance Jio launches JioFi JioGST starter kit with GST filing service for businesses

Reliance Jio on Thursday launched the ‘ JioFi JioGST’ starter kit that includes a GST filing service for businesses. The starter kit that comes at Rs 1,999 offers access to a billing application and Jio’s GST software solution for tax filing, coupled with unlimited calls and 24GB data, for one year, according to information available on its website. The offer which was made available on the Jio website also provides access to JioGST-empanelled tax practitioners who may even be authorised to file tax returns by businesses. The starter kit includes a one year subscription for the JioGST software solution, and a physical JioFi device. There is an integrated billing application and doorstep activation in some select cities. The starter kit is a mobile first solution, and the operation of the billing and accounting software does not require the merchant to have access to a computer. There is no need for a printer, and daily summary invoices are automatically generated for GST compliance. The scan and sell functionality has a catalog of thousands of consumer goods, electronic items and grocery products along with the tax codes. There are also empanneled professionals available for merchants. Users will have access to thousands of JioGST tax practitioners, and can find a tax practitioner near their locations. If necessary, merchants can authorise a professional to file tax returns on their behalf.
