The first rumour about multi-hued Nexus 5s told us it would come in six new colours - yellow, red, blue, green, orange, and purple. Then we saw a red version leak out, but that didn’t seem too authentic, but this time around we are getting more details than just the new paintjob on the Nexus 5. The pictures were leaked on Twitter by @artyomstar and there are quite a lot of pictures besides the ones shown above.

In this latest leaks, we get a glimpse of the packaging which shows the red outline on the Nexus 5, hinting at an official launch soon. Then we get a look at official markings such as the IMEI number, serial and batch numbers. The sticker on the back is placed just where it is on the currently available Nexus 5s. We also get a look at the front in some of the leaked images, which show Google is not just painting the back and sides red, the earpiece grille also gets the same colour treatment, just like on the white Nexus 5.

The red one looks a little too flashy to us, though, and we are hoping Google has not ignored more sober colours in this revamp. What would be more interesting to know is whether there are any design changes that are not immediately apparent. Remember there have been a lot of complaints over the muffled loudspeaker volume on the Nexus 5 and LG released a slightly redesigned version soon after the official launch . But there’s no word on any more changes in the design yet.
