When Panasonic launched its first smartphone P51 in India for Rs 26,990, there were more than few eyebrows raised. Somehow, we felt this smartphone will see a quick price drop after its launch. And now less than a week since it was announced, the P51 is available for a discounted Rs 22,390 at online retailer Infibeam. Panasonic is throwing in a free magnetic flip-cover and a stylus along with the P51.
The Panasonic P51 smartphone sports a sleek unibody design and is available in black and white colours. The 5-inch display has a 720p resolution (1280 x 720 pixels). It’s powered by a quad-core MediaTek 1.2GHz processor and ships with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Besides being compatible with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n standards, the phone can connect to 3G network and when unavailable, can latch on to GPRS and EDGE. It sports an 8 megapixel main camera (autofocus with LED flash) and a 1.3MP 720p HD front camera.
