Sony India has chopped down the existing Rs. 9,450 price of the PlayStation Portable by over 15% to Rs. 7,990. This price drop is for the PSP3000 model and was announced by Atindriya Bose, Country Manager SCEE, in an interview with Financial Chronicle .
Now cheaper
Bose also said the company would release three games for the Indian market – namely Cart Kings, Chandragupta Warriors and Battle Royal. Out of these, Battle Royal will feature characters from Amar Chitra Katha and will surprisingly be a strategy game.
This price was drop was a long time coming, to be honest. With the launch of the Next Generation Portable, and with the Nintendo 3DS now being available in India , any later and Sony would’ve been in trouble. So yeah, if you or anyone you know is going to purchase a PSP anytime soon, make sure the price is right!
