Now this is to be taken with a pinch of salt, but it seems we may get a Prince of Persia title on the Wii after all. It’s a known fact that Ubisoft has declared its love for the console and had even promised Nintendo seven titles to coincide with the Wii’s launch that’ll include the highly anticipated Red Steel and Rayman: Raving Rabbids. Now what Ubisoft America has failed to mention, is that a Prince of Persia title may find a place in one of those seven titles, if their French counterparts and website Jeuxpo are to be belived. Now the funny thing here is that Ubisoft America has no idea about any of this, and this is what one of their spokespersons had this to say, “We saw this too and Prince of Persia is not confirmed as either a Wii launch title or a title coming out in North America in March 2007 at this time.” Truth? Fiction? Time will tell, but I doubt they’ll make a brand new PoP title for the Wii since they rounded off the trilogy pretty well with The Two Thrones.
