Pre-orders for Apple iPhone X to start from 27 October; flagship smartphone to be available in stores starting 3 November

Apple’s tenth anniversary iPhone or the  **iPhone X** will be available for pre-order on 27 October 2017 globally. The phone will be available in 55 countries and in the Apple Store from 3 November. [caption id=“attachment_4038301” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] Apple iPhone X[/caption] In India, the iPhone X with 64 GB internal storage has been priced at Rs 89,000 and the 256 GB variant is rumoured to be priced at Rs 1,00,000. The company has also announced that Apple-designed accessories including leather and silicone cases for the iPhone X will be available for Rs 3,500 along with Lightning Docks ‘in colour-matching metallic finishes’ will be available for a price of Rs 4,700. The Apple iPhone X is the first Apple smartphone to feature an edge-to-edge 5.8-inch ‘Super Retina Display’ OLED panel with 2436 x 1125 pixel resolution and 458 PPI pixel density. The Apple iPhone X is powered by the 64-bit hex-core A11 Bionic chip with two high-performance cores and four high-efficiency cores. Considering there is no fingerprint sensor on the iPhone X, Apple is banking on a new method of authentication — Face ID . Face ID uses TrueDepth camera module on the front camera of the phone to create a 3D mapped image of your face, using 30,000 dots to map your face, which can be later used to unlock the iPhone X or even make payments. Apple has packed a 12 MP dual camera setup on the back of the device with a f/1.8 wide-angle lens and a f/2.4 telephoto lens. Both the camera sensors in the dual camera setup come with optical image stabilisation. The device packs a quad LED two-tone flash unit between the two camera modules.
