Pokemon Go to get over 100 new Pokemon and Trading system in December update

According to VentureBeat, the game is expected to get more than 100 new normal and Legendary Pokemon's, player vs player battles, trading between players and more in the December update.


Pokemon Go has certainly dropped in popularity from the last couple of months, where the game was a rage. While there are still many playing the game, it is not a topic of daily conversation. According to VentureBeat, the game is expected to get more than 100 new normal and Legendary Pokemon's, player vs player battles, trading between players and more in the December update.

There is however, no official confirmation from Niantic Labs around the December update. The speculation is based on an analysis of the game's code done by PokeVS, a Pokemon web scanner.

Along with the new Pokemon's, the code also reveals  that the game will allow players to raise their hatchlings once they're out of their shells. All this content speculation is yet to be confirmed by Niantic Labs.

The December update is expected to have higher player engagement measures according to rumours. With 100 new Pokemon's, it is safe to say that a lot of the dormant players will get active.

There are no details on what pocket monsters are expected to be part of the update.

John Hanke, CEO of Niantic has said that new features and real world events are coming soon. Another spokesperson has claimed that Gen 2 is coming as an update. VentureBeat has a list of the 100 new Pokemon.

Pokemon Go has garnered more than 500 mn downloads and has raked in an estimated $600mn in revenue in its first 90 days of launch.
