Sony has revealed a host of new information for the upcoming PlayStation 4. The company has explained these things in a video on the PlayStationAccess YouTube channel. One of the major features is the limit of friends on the friends’ list. The PS4 will allow a whopping 2,000 friends on your list. Check the video out:

The PlayStation 4 won't require users to subscribe to PlayStation Plus to get access to features such as online voice chat or streaming services such as Netflix. The only thing that will require a PlayStation Plus subscription will be online multiplayer for games. In fact, even free-to-play games won't need a PS Plus subscription for multiplayer.

Earlier, Sony had revealed that the PlayStation 4's digital game library can be played on any PS4. "You can visit your friend's house, you can log into your account and play any game from your digital library," said Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Engineer Neil Brown.

The free offerings are quite impressive

The Xbox One will also be able to do this; Microsoft had planned to have it apply to retail copies of games as well, but the flak the company caught for the obtrusive DRM on the console made it nix the idea. However, digital copies of games bought through the console’s online store can still be played like this.
