PlayStation 3 versions of Warfighter, Most Wanted delayed

Two of the most highly anticipated games this year are Electronics Arts’ (EA) Need for Speed: Most Wanted and Medal of Honor: Warfighter. According to IndianVideoGamer, Milestone has delayed the release date for the PlayStation 3 version of these games. The PlayStation 3 versions of the games are set to release three days after the originally planned release dates. Medal of Honor: Warfighter will be releasing on October 29 instead of 26, and Need for Speed: Most Wanted will be releasing on November 5 instead of 2. While the PlayStation 3 versions of the games are being delayed, the Xbox 360 versions of the game, which are being distributed by Redington, are going to be releasing on time.

Written by actual U.S. Tier 1 Operators while deployed overseas, Medal of Honor Warfighter is set to deliver this year’s most authentic military shooter experience inspired by real people, real places and real operations. Medal of Honor Warfighter features genuine international hotspots in the single player campaign and introduces international Tier 1 Operators in multiplayer allowing players to show their national pride online.

EA had also recently released a trailer for Need for Speed: Most Wanted that explained the multiplayer of the game, including what game modes it’ll feature. To kick off multiplayer events, players have to drive to Race Lists strewn across the city that have a variety of different game modes, from simple races to all out takedown battles to jumping competitions. The game also features a progression system where you can level up to unlock mods for your car, as well as complete challenges such as finishing a race with no tyres to unlock License Plates that will display when you take down an opponent.

The Need for Speed series has been one of the most successful racing game series, besides being one of the most successful video game franchises. The games in the series have been published by Electronic Arts (EA) and developed by several studios including Canada-based company EA Black Box and Britain-based Criterion Games. NFS was originally developed by Canadian company Distinctive Software, which later became known as EA Canada. As of October 2009, the game series has sold over 100 million copies.

The series has always been known for its arcadey racing gameplay as opposed to the more realistic simulation games such as Gran Turismo or Forza Motorsport. Since Black Box’s last Need for Speed - Undercover, EA has released three games in the series from different developers. While Slightly Mad steered the series into Simulation territory with the shift games, Criterion brought the series back to its roots with the reboot Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit.

The upcoming game in the Need for Speed franchise is Need for Speed: Most Wanted and is being developed by Criterion.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns. see more
