If you haven’t had a chance to play the latest Call of Duty game, Modern Warfare 3 , you can do so this weekend absolutely free on Steam. Of course this is limited only to the multiplayer side of things which means no access to the single player campaign or Spec ops missions (co-operative missions and the game’s Horde mode). At the same time Activision have slashed the price of the game down by 33% which means it’s now available at $39.99 as opposed to $59.99.

The download weighs in at around 15 GB so if you do plan on trying the game out, we suggest you get downloading ASAP as the free weekend ends early Monday. Of course you will need Steam to play the game.
