If you use the Pinterest app on your iPhone and/or the iPad, brace yourself for an update – version 2.6. Significant among the list of changes is the introduction of a shortcut to the app that lets you pin, like it and send it a little faster on your iOS device. Excited about this new addition? To get going, press and hold any pin. Once the menu slides out, all you have to do is slide your finger toward the pin, like or send icon. The shortcut button can be used on the Pinterest home feed, a board or while looking at the close-up of a pin.

Other new features on the Pinterest iOS app include the ability to add and remove stuff from the home feed; just tap Edit Home Feed. This works only on the iPhone, though. Pinterest iOS users can now send pins from their iPad too, in addition to the iPhone.
The updated Pinterest iOS app is available for download on the iOS store. The app is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad. It will function on devices running iOS 5.0 or later. This app is optimised for iPhone 5.
The popular image-based social networking site now supports “Do Not Track”, following an update that it received this week. The ability to set Do Not Track preferences for one’s data is crucial, since it protects a user’s privacy while giving him or her more control over their information. Pinterest users can now also set DNT preferences in their browser to inform the sites they visit that they do not want them to collect certain information about them.
