Remember the Flickr photo that accidentally revealed Motorola’s upcoming Android phone? Well, now we can put a face to that speculation as the newest member of the Droid family has been recently snapped . The photos reveal that the new Gingerbread running smartphone will pack in a massive 4.5-inch display, which from the blue tint in the picture, hints at a possible AMOLED display. It’s also incredibly slim, which means Motorola could be targeting the Galaxy S II.
Compared to the Bionic
Other details include an 8MP camera, which is capable of 1080p video recording and playback. HDMI and micro-USB ports are also present on the side along with the SIM and memory card slots. The big debate right now is, will the Droid HD come with a HD screen? While a qHD resolution (960x540) is a very strong possibility, a 1280x720 (HD) resolution would give you a much better picture.
The volume rocker and power button on the side
This is already shaping up to be a better phone than the Bionic, and if Motorola plans on launching it anytime soon, they’ll have a tough time selling the Bionic. Only time will tell. Till then enjoy the pictures.
