Philips launches massive lineup of LED TVs in India, prices start at Rs 9,990

The TVs in the lineup will be available mid-December onwards on both online and offline channels.

TP Vision, a subsidiary of TPV technology that makes Philips TVs, just launched the largest lineup of Philips LED TVs in India.

The range starts with an affordable 22-inch Full HD LED TV which is priced at Rs 9,990 and goes all the way up to the Philips Ambilight 65PUT6703S which will retail at Rs 1,49,990. All the TVs in the lineup will be available mid-December onwards through both online and offline channels.

The 65-inch flagship smart TV features a 3-sided 'Ambilight', which makes movies and games feel more immersive. These intelligent LEDs around the edges of the TV cast onscreen colours onto nearby walls. The lights can be tuned to one's liking based on your preference. With the ‘Ambilight music mode’ on, the Ambilight output changes to keep up with the music. Further, when you’re not watching TV, there’s even an indirect light mode to turn your set into a mood-setting lamp with any colour you choose.

All the others TVs in the range also come fitted with Philips' "Pixel Precise HD engine" for richer colour reproduction. Its 6100 and 6700 series 4K offerings also pack support for HDR for more immersive viewing.

Philips has also thrown in a special ‘Micro Dimming’ software which analyses the picture in 6,400 different zones and adjusts backlight accordingly.

The company in a statement mentions that it plans to more than double the number of service centres in the country by 2019.
