Philips is not making TVs with built-in Apple TV features

Several news portals have announced that Philips is launching LED TVs with built-in Apple TV features during the festive season. An article by PTI taking rounds reads,"Philips introduced a new range of televisions that come bundled with Apple TV features." This statement has raised plenty of eyebrows, especially since Apple never licenses out its software to third-party manufacturers.

Clearly a case of misinterpretation, Philips is actually offering a combo deal, which includes an Apple TV box with select TV models. This will allow users to stream online content and other media from their Apple devices by hooking the Apple TV box to their TV. This is not a feature exclusive to Philips TVs, as you can attach it to any TV with an HDMI port.

Business Insider confirmed the news saying that Philips is offering no Apple TV features with its TVs. The company has sent BI the real ad which shows us the real picture.
