The latest Chinese entrant in the Indian smartphone market is Phicomm, which has introduced its first handset, the Passion 660 at a price o f Rs 10,999. The device will be available exclusively on Amazon India for purchase starting June 9. It will be offered in black and white colour variants. In terms of specifications, the Phicomm Passion 660 sports a 5-inch IPS LCD display with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution along with a pixel density of 441ppi. The device also has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor coupled with 2GB RAM. The smartphone has a 13MP rear camera with LED flash along with a 5MP front facing camera. Additional features include G-sensor, L-sensor, P-Sensor, E-compass, Barometer, Step-counter sensor and Gesture sensor. It has an inbuilt storage of 16GB and can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card. It also has a hybrid dual SIM support that lets users use the second SIM slot as a expansion slot, when required. It runs on the company’s Expect OS 5.0 based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat. In terms of connectivity, the Phicomm Passion 660 features 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with Direct functionality, USB, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0. The device is backed by a 2300mAh battery.
