Periscope has released a new feature that will allow users to take screenshots of a stream and share it with others. Engadget describes it as the app’s version of a retweet. However, the new feature is now available only on the iOS version. Periscope has also updated the Private Broadcast function allowing users to select mutual friends who you follow and who follow you or everybody on it, with a single click. Many find the new feature very interesting and useful. “It’s a really smart feature that works seamlessly, giving the viewer some context to share with their own followers, which is key. Too often, I see a basic description and a link to a Periscope stream in my Twitter feed and just ignore it. If you showed me what was going on, say, like the gent who did a marathon in his wheelchair, I’d be more likely to click,” explains Techcrunch. Earlier this month there were **reports** about Periscope working on a live streaming app for Apple TV. **Periscope** is a live streaming app owned by Twitter available on iOS and Android. Live streaming on Twitter became a craze with the introduction of Meerkat, a similar live streaming app which was being called the new Twitter sensation . However, Twitter took advantage of the situation and blocked the rival app and purchased Periscope, so as to monetise from this opportunity.
