Pepperfry for iOS and Android launched today

Furniture and home products ecommerce marketplace Pepperfry has launched its mobile app. Currently available on iOS and Android, the app will also be launched on the Amazon App Store soon. Our app boasts industry-first features like augmented reality and an open design platform. It is aimed towards simplifying the furniture and home shopping experiences through innovative product discovery and easy payment options. Additionally, with mobile phones increasingly becoming the preferred medium to shop online, the launch of Pepperfry app will further complement user experiences providing for seamless shopping experiences.” According to a statement by Pepperfry, “The app has been designed based on extensive consumer insights undertaken by the company. Pepperfry understands that customers often struggle with questions related to product display, e.g. how will an online product will fit inside their homes – both physically and aesthetically. The app addresses these specific  consumer needs – they can now zoom into products, drag and place them against their room set-up, or their walls, share images using social media, and engage meaningfully with India’s largest home improvement community for advice and opinions.” It seems the recent trend with virtual reality is catching up with ecommerce players in India. We last reported how **Homelane had introduced a virtual reality headset** to cater to home decor requirements in the Indian market.
