Penny Arcade Game Announced

I’m sure most of you have read Penny Arcade at least once in your life. While they aren’t funny all the time (in fact, some of them are totally the opposite of funny), some of them like Pop Warrior Within comic or the Resident Evil 4 comic cracked me up good (yeah I haven’t read them for ages).

If unlike me, you adore all their stuff and find their comics really hilarious, you’ll be thrilled to know that the creators of Penny Arcade, Tycho and Gabe have collaborated with Hothead Games to create a series of Penny Arcade games with the first being Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, a comic adventure game for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. And guess what? The game may ship on Steam… as episodic content. Ok, you can officially hang yourself now.

“We’re really excited to be working with Hothead Games on our first electronic adventure,” said writer Jerry ‘Tycho’ Holkins. “From the moment we laid eyes on them, it was clear they had the technical and creative chops to execute our grim vision. Now that we have pooled our strengths, our dark work may truly begin.”

Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office. Thank God he's not that enthusiastic about Angry Birds or we'd be seeing women flying all over the place. Bali... Bali, put the receptionist down now. see more
